Aims of the Faculty of the VCA and Music Intranet Server
1) To provide common browser based access to information specific to Faculty of the VCA and Music Staff and Students
2) To provide staff access to documentation as published from time to time for general distribution
3) To provide a consistent document format for distribution of information
4) To provide a 'secure server' for distribution of password-protected material [for specific groups within the Faculty of the VCA and Music]
5) To reduce pressure on the email system which is currently being slowed down by the transmission of documents [and pictures] around the Faculty of the VCA and Music site.
Access to this server has been restricted to computers on
the Faculty of the VCA and Music and University of Melbourne campuses.
It is not possible to access the Intranet server from
computers outside the Melbourne University Network
